The Simply Story
It all began with a vision. Chief Operating Director, Peter Lingley, and Apprenticeship Director, Mark Fenwick, realised there was a gap in the market for something extraordinary. There was a need for a world class training school which specialised in the financial sector. In 2006, they decided to open such a school and Simply Academy was founded.
Back then, Simply Academy comprised of a tiny office and a small but dedicated team. However, it wasn’t long before the news spread that there was a new training provider who delivered fantastic results backed by great customer care. As the company’s reputation grew, so did demand for courses and Simply Academy has been growing since then to keep up with demand.
The specialised financial services industry has evolved over time, with an ever increasing emphasis on regulation. In turn, we have evolved to cater to the needs of the industry. It takes dedication to keep our courses current for the ever-changing, sometimes turbulent, financial scene.
We’re always looking at ways to best serve the financial services industry and continuously review our course offering. We now also provide Financial Services Apprenticeships which have proven popular and highly successful.
Today, the Simply Academy team numbers over 70 employees and associates. Our highly experienced consultants and tutors work alongside developers, designers and client services to deliver outstanding courses. The result is that our reputation has gone from strength to strength. Simply Academy is the provider of choice for thousands of students and companies of all sizes from around the world.
Our dedication to fantastic results and exemplary customer care remains the same as when we started business in 2006. However, we’ve long outgrown our tiny office and our team has multiplied! Our flagship headquarters is now in Hertfordshire, with training facilities throughout the UK.

RBS select us as their preferred CeMAP provider. This relationship stands today with over 1000 staff members successfully gaining their qualification.
We embark on our first overseas project with a major Middle Eastern bank helping them develop their retail, commercial, corporate and institutional banking services.
We partner Santander on a long-term project at their Belfast HQ, culminating in over 150 staff members achieving various regulatory qualifications.
Leading up to the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) we design and deliver a high quality DipFA programme helping over 500 Financial Advisers meet the new qualification requirement before the FCA deadline.
The UK’s largest mortgage broker, London & Country, select us as their go-to training provider.
Upon its inception we are awarded the privilege of becoming one of the first financial education providers accepted onto the Education Skills Funding Agencies register of apprenticeship training providers.
Sesame Bankhall Group, the largest financial distributor within the UK, select us as their preferred apprenticeship provider. This strategic partnership opens the doorway for 100s of their member firms to access our high-quality programmes.
