mortgage adviser training

We receive calls every day from people wanting to become mortgage advisers but they aren’t sure where to start. As we always advise, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice is the regulatory qualification for anyone wanting to work as a mortgage adviser, so obtaining this qualification should be your first port of call. Some people find the idea of having to study for a recognised qualification slightly daunting, especially if this is a complete career change or they have no prior experience in the financial sector, but rest assured that the CeMAP courses from Simply Academy have been designed for people with no prior knowledge or experience, we just ask that you have a good level of English and mathematics, teamed with an interest in the industry and the drive and determination to succeed and become qualified.

Our CeMAP courses can be studied in a classroom-based environment in one of our 9 venues around the UK, or alternatively it can be studied online through our interactive study portal as and when you are able to. Offering our students the option of these flexible courses means you are able to study in a way that suits you, which means you will find studying for your CeMAP a lot easier. Both course options offer first class study materials and the on-hand assistance of an industry experienced course tutor throughout your studies, giving you all the support you need to learn and ultimately complete your CeMAP qualification.

Once you have completed CeMAP, you may want to start looking for that all important job role straight away, and a good place to start is our own job board with over 500+ roles advertised throughout the UK, but if you really want to stand out with your future employer, then the Competent Mortgage Adviser Certificate course would certainly help you. The CMAcert course aims to assist CeMAP qualified advisers in gaining the day-to-day knowledge and skills needed within the mortgage adviser role and will help those who have never worked in the financial industry understand what will be expected of them in the role. The CMAcert e-learning course covers topics such as structuring appointments with clients to obtain the relevant information needed and putting together mortgage and protection recommendations, right up to completing the sign up and application form procedures which are all areas that will be covered in your job role. Once you have completed the full CMAcert course and passed your final assessment, you can provide your digital workbook to your new or potential employer to evidence the additional skills you have obtained.
