How hard is the CMAcert exam?
13 November 2015

Exams can be daunting, especially when it could be the next big step towards the career you have been aiming for, but those who are looking to complete the Competent Mortgage Adviser Certificate will see that this exam isn’t as daunting as you may think.
The CMAcert interactive online course is designed to bridge the skills gap for CeMAP qualified advisers to gain their Competent Adviser Status. Teaching advisers the invaluable skills and knowledge needed for the day-to-day role of mortgage advice, the CMAcert will help you build a portfolio of work to show potential employers that you have the relevant skills required, and therefore you will only need minimal supervision for CAS sign off.
Unlike other qualifications, the CMAcert takes into account the work you have undertaken throughout the course to go towards your final exam result. After you have worked through each one of the five mandatory CMAcert units, you will be given 20 questions to answer that relate to that specific unit and the information you have learnt before you move on to the next unit. Each unit has a 70% pass mark and the marks you receive from each unit test will go towards your final assessment mark. Unit 6 is your final unit and the formal assessment where you will have to answer 10 questions for each one of the five case studies provided, putting in to practice the knowledge and skills that you have learnt throughout the course. After successful completion of the formal assessment, you will receive your full certification as well as your digital workbook to evidence the work you have completed to show potential employers the skills and knowledge you have gained.
At Simply Academy, we want to help all our students become the best mortgage advisers they can be, and providing them with the best quality training is the foundation to a fulfilling and lucrative career.
